Welcome to Rafters at Riverside House.

Riverside House was taken over & fully refurbished by restaurateur Alistair Myers in the middle of lockdown 2020. Alistair, who own the nationally recognised three AA Rosette restaurant, Rafters in Sheffield, has always had a focus on quality, sustainability & locality which breathes through everything he does. Having worked for much of his career in Derbyshire he has always wanted to come back to the area and is proud to present Rafters at Riverside House. 

Rafters at Riverside House Hotel is a 14-bedroom Restaurant with Rooms, situated on the river Wye in the picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-water, Derbyshire.

Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, this former shooting lodge consists of two "Superior Rooms", Rafters & Kingfisher. Plus eight bedrooms in the Garden Wing, Four "Premium Garden Rooms" on the ground floor which benefit from French doors leading to their own private patio area & a further four "Garden Rooms" on the 1st floor overlooking the River Wye. An additional four "House Rooms" are located on the 1st floor of the original Grade II listed house where the superior rooms are also found. 

We are proud to say that Rafters at Riverside House is already on the ascent having been awarded a whole host of awards. These include 5 AA Gold Stars, 2 AA Rosettes, a "Notable Wine List" & a "Breakfast Award" from AA Hospitality.  We were also crowned "Hotel of the Year" at the 2022 Peak District & Derbyshire Tourism Awards.
